Drowns Off Plum Island Two Men Missing After Skiff Accident
Sgt Edward Morrissey 41 U S A and his brother in law Daniel Verity 35 drowned when their skiff overturned off Plum Island near New London Connecticut. A faulty oar lock and choppy water led to the accident as Stella Morrissey watched from shore. Coast Guard Fort Trumbull and Fort H G Wright boats searched through the night with planes dropping flares. the overturned craft was found early.
