Memorial service for Bristol Aerie members at Opera House
The first public memorial for Bristol Aerie No. 953 F of E was held in the Bristol Opera House at 2:80 PM on a rainy Sunday. Five members were honored: James P. McLaughlin, John T. Warren, William H. Christie, Robert A. McCanaghey, Luke F. McLoughlin. The program featured prayers, hymns, a roll call, and candles for each deceased member, with dignitaries including Worthy President John Robertson and Secretary Walter Simmons.

Four Mile Marathon Won By O W Young Jr At Local Derby
In a four mile race around the Common yesterday afternoon O W Young Jr won the $5 prize with a time near 26 minutes 34 seconds. Joseph Kindar finished second, Leo Ciarielli third, John P Head fourth. An onlooker fight erupted as spectators mobbed the finish. special constable Cushing Neuman was struck and Michael Vielette was arrested on assault charges with $100 bond posted by Pasquale Giglio.

Breaks Reported in Mt Hope Bay Boat House and Hope Street Store
Police investigate two burglaries reported this week. Commandant Benjamin L. Hall says thieves stole an eight foot rowboat with oars and fishing gear from his boat building on Mt Hope Bay. A second break at W red Fish grocery on Hope Street yielded about five dollars. The missing boat is white outside and blue inside.
