Light Vessels Arrive at Bristol Coast Guard Depot
Two decommissioned lightships Cross Rip and Relief arrive at the Bristol Coast Guard Depot at Constitution Street awaiting sale. Ships show intact gear and diesel engines, with Kelsey as caretaker and no sale plans due to red tape. The 200 ton vessels could become houseboats or breakwaters, though private use faces electrical system hurdles.
