A car driven by John Lonergan overturned on Hope Street near Beach Road after a side swipe by an opposite direction vehicle. Lonergan had minor hand bruises while Louis Alexander suffered a severe wrist laceration needing three stitches. Passengers Alves and Ashton were uninjured. The other driver fled and police have no match yet.

Providence Youths Bound Over In Car Theft Case
Aniello DeSandro and George Corrente, both of Providence, admitted sufficient evidence to convict on charges of driving off an automobile without the owner's consent. They were bound over to await Grand Jury action with bail set at 2000 dollars. They were arrested in Darien, Connecticut, where they were found in a car reported stolen March 20 from 100 High Street, Bristol. Three simple drunk charges were disposed of with fines and costs. Civil cases were continued or defaulted as listed.

Boy Injured in Car Crash on High Street
Joseph Corte a nine year old, son of Antone and Sophia Corte of 87 Franklin Street, was struck by a car driven by Walter H Webb of 1602 Hope Street on High Street. He received a scalp wound needing one stitch and injuries to the head and left knee, elbow, and forearm. The boy was playing on the sidewalk when he ran into the road and collided with the Webb vehicle. He was taken to Dr A F D'Angelo identifying the incident as a contusion and minor wounds.
