Egypt Trip Notes Show Splendor of Sakkara and Nile
June Rockwell recounts a Nile voyage with a party of 26 aboard the Pelican, visiting Sakkara, Memphi, and Luxor with stops at Abydos and Edfa. She honors Lord Cromer’s reforms in Egypt, the native guides, and the desert moonlight as they explore temples, tombs, and the pyramids while noting donkeys, Bedouin camps, and the improving security and governance.
