Need Permits for Outdoor Fires Hours Announced
The Rhode Island Division of Forests announces its spring forest fire danger period with lookout towers active. Rubbish burning in permitted incinerators must occur before 10 am or after 5 pm unless rain or snow occurs, and a person must attend. Other burning requires a daily permit from the local fire warden.
