Zone Change Granted By Town Council

The Town Council approved a zoning change for Manuel and Lillian Vieira to convert a parcel at Metacom and Mt Hope Avenue from limited residence to general business. Attorney Richard F Staples objected as spot zoning, noting nearby University land and no building changes. Vieira said the move is for security as he now owns the land and will keep the service station and land unchanged.
