Highways were blocked by toppled willows and elms, crews led by L H Callan cleared hazards while temporary repairs were made to make streets passable. The Suburban rail line suffered power shortages and only one school session was held. A large elm on Jopion Street near E H Tingley’s home was cut down after its trunk split.
