Bristol town council elects Mr Bunn president amid deadlock
The Bristol town council ended a deadlock by electing Mr. Bunn president after a two vote tie. Patrick McGovern moved a ballot that gave Mrs. Bunn three votes and two blanks, then the decision was made unanimous. Bunn, born Bristol 1888, has held several posts including secretary to LeBaron Colt and now heads the National India Rubber Co employment dept. Lieutenant Hugh F Kelley was promoted to chief of police, bringing long service since 1908 and prior roles at Mount Hope Park and as Deputy US Marshal on the King Philip.

Easter Services and Programs Commemorate the Resurrection
Special church services will be held next Sunday in town to commemorate Easter. St Michael's Church offers a 7 a.m. choral morning prayer, Holy Communion at 10:30 a.m., and an organ postlude. St. Michael's plans a 3 p.m. Sunday School service with Easter hymns. The choir will sing at both morning services and the girls' choir will assist in the afternoon. The quartet includes Miss Aida A Connery, Mrs James F O'Donnell, Allan F Potter, Pardon R Kennery, and Walter H Angell is organist and choirmaster.

Easter Mass Schedule With Choir Performances
A church announces three hour service, plus a 7 30 am service and a 9 am service. Confessions are heard in the afternoon and evening. Easter day Mass is moved to 7 am. The 10 30 am Mass includes a solemn procession and Hallelujah Chorus at offertory. Music by Moir in D. 7 30 am service features Manns Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis.
