Italian Women Socialites plan charity film at Pastime Theatre

The Italian Women's Socialites Club schedules a 2 PM Sunday motion picture show at the Pastime Theatre to aid its charities fund. Kearney Post Plans Charter Night Observance

Members of Kearney Post No 6 American Legion will attend Mendes Hobson Post Providence charter night March 29. Mendes honoree shipmate of Willam Hirst Kearney, both lost lives when USS Jacob Jones torpedoed in World War I. Kearney Post veterans of the Yankee Division invited to YC Night March 24 at Legion Home Pawtucket, with March 25 dinner for National Commander Chadwick at Narragansett Hotel.

New Modern Bristol Ambulance Replaces Eight Year Old Vehicle

The Town of Bristol replaces an eight year old Henney-Packard ambulance with a new model funded by the LeBaron C. Colt Memorial Ambulance, Inc. The 230 inch vehicle seats four, includes a hospital bed, two air conditioned seats, advanced climate control, and will operate at no charge to residents. Annual town operating funds are $500, with possible revival of a former subscription day. Maurice C. Smith Jr. leads the Ambulance Corporation board. other members include J Francis Connell and Miss Evelyn C Carter.

County Drives Big in Narragansett Boy Scout Campaign

The Narragansett Council Boy Scouts reported at a March board meeting that the second annual financial campaign raised 26 027 83, surpassing the goal by 329 83. Bristol County and related areas contributed to help fund a 49 430 budget for the year.

Funeral Rites Held For Vincent Pannone

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Vincent J F Pannone 12 of 119 Bradford Street after a three month illness. A high mass at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church was celebrated by Rev Joseph Sorzano with deacon Rev Natale Odenino and sub-deacon Rev Irwin McGrath. Bearers included John George Robert Fonseca Joseph Marshall Alfred Perry Frank Fumes and Frank Balzano with taps played by Boy Scout bugler Joseph Marshall. Committal at St Marys Cemetery followed the mass.

Rotary Club Basketball Benefit Draws Big Local Crowd
