March 22 1958 public school Night of Music under Women’s Club was postponed due to storm. New date to be announced. Theresa Donovan directed with assistants and a program of group singing piano solos and Sleeping Beauty and The Ugly Duckling. Several dozen students listed with many names provided. Also engagement announced: Dorothy A Keane to Joseph L Simmons. June 14 wedding planned.

Civil Defense Generators Provide Power During Long Failure
Civil Defense generators were used yesterday after a nine hour power outage. Nelson Beals, head of the CD, said units were placed at the town hall annex, highway department building, Dreadnaught Fire Station, and Bristol Nursing Home. A permanent town hall generator supplied lights to that building. CD staff Norman Sousa and Henry Landry oversaw emergency generator installations.
