Boys with clubs hunt for town hugger terror
Armed youths ages 9 to 16 roam southern town seeking the so called hugger who hides and grabs women. Police say many suspects are under review as the effort to catch the culprit continues. The attacks moved from Hope and High streets to Franklin street near Carr Manufacturing Company.

Bristol Garden Clubs Win Federation Prizes
Bristol Garden Club won first prize for the most beautiful long table arrangement at the Rhode Island Federation of Garden Clubs meeting in Providence. Countryside Garden Club earned second prize for the round table arrangement. Arrangements by Mrs. Carl W Haffenreffer and Mrs. Sebastian Bernard.
