Exercises Held in Public Schools Play Scenes At Two Campuses

Pupils from Guiteras Memorial and John Post Reynolds Schools presented two plays. At Guiteras the Dramatic Club staged Birds Christmas Carol with a large cast list. At Reynolds Grade 6 showcased The Magic Voice with recitations and a phonography selection.

Edward LeClerc Elected Dictator at Moose Lodge Meeting

Edward LeClerc was elected dictator of King Philip Lodge No 1135 Loyal Order of Moose at a reorganizational meeting Sunday afternoon. Officers include Philip M. Pavin as Past Dictator John Jo Perrys as Vice Dictator George Ingraham as Treasurer and others. Installation set for Sunday afternoon in April at 2 o'clock conducted by state officers.

Entertainment at Soldiers' Home by Rhode Island Auxiliary

Members of the Rhode Island Auxiliary of the Sons of Union Veterans visited the Soldiers' Home Sunday afternoon and gave gifts and an entertainment in the sun parlor. Department President Mrs Elizabeth Jackson presented a large framed Lincoln portrait to Commandant Susan M Sheple. A bouquet was given to ill Civil War veteran Michael Noon. The program featured readings, piano, choir numbers, and remarks by several officers and guests, followed by distribution of oranges and fruit to the comrades.

Masses at Grays Dames Parish: Wedding at State Street Church

The ceremony took place Friday afternoon at the parsonage of the State Street MEOb Church. Rev Charles W. Martin officiated the wedding of the bride and groom with sister Mass Iva Robison Harts as bridesmaid and Mfunro as best man.

Annual Financial Town Meeting Adopts $314,430 in Appropriations

Taxpayers approved total appropriations of 314430 at the town meeting in Town Hall with Judge Edward L. Leahy presiding. The session approved sewer project funding 50000, a new Defiance Hose Company fire station 20000, raised highway funds to 23500, and created a 250th anniversary fund for 1936. A sewage disposal plant plan 83000 and park use of a shore site were authorized, with several other appropriations and measures enacted or tabled.

Colt Memorial high school's Junior Class and faculty hosted a St Patrick's Day party for the Senior Class in the auditorium. Green and white streamers and shamrocks adorned the room while the Golden Star Orchestra played. Prizes and refreshments accompanied dancing and seating with desks decorated as tables.

St Patrick's Day Dances Draw Large Bristol Attendance

Two hundred people attended the St Patrick's dance at the State Armory foot of Church Street under the auspic es of Battery C 243d Coast Artillery Corps. Earl Shean's Orchestra provided music.
