Coast Guard Prepares Busy Narragansett Bay Season
The Coast Guard forecasts a busy season in Narragansett Bay with the Amelia Cup Races planned for September and the Newport Bermuda Race set for July 20. A new 83 ft Cutter Pt Cypress arrives in Newport, a 44 ft lifeboat replaces a 36 ft boat at Pt Judith, and Hog Island Shoal lighthouse will be automated on April 17.
