Dinner for School Committee Retirement Celebration
The Bristol School Committee hosted a turkey dinner at George A. Arnold’s Hope Street home to honor the retirement of the committee of fifteen. The event included a seven course meal, floral decorations, a painted group portrait, and remarks by Superintendent Reynolds. A historical review of the committee’s membership and long service followed, noting changes since 1837 and highlighting long-serving members and chairmen.
