Church To Have New Organ Installed May 4
The First Congregational Church trustees announce a donated new organ to mark the 250th anniversary. Dedication on Sunday May 4 features Ralph Kinder, famed Bristolian organist and composer. The old tracker organ was installed 74 years ago by Martin and M T Bennett. The Hook Hastings Company will build the electro pneumatic instrument with detached console for flexible chancel sight lines. The new organ aims for wide tonal color and powerful expression to inspire worship and music.

A party of about 25 yachting writers editors designers and yachtsmen toured the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co shops in Bristol meeting with President Haffenreffer and Rotary Club members The visit included lunch at the Belvedere Hotel and a viewing of Enterprise and Weetamoc before a local bridge tour and departure by bus to Boston area hotels.
