Bristol to Host Four Day Tercentenary Fourth Celebration
Bristol will stage a four day program combining Rhode Island Tercentenary and America’s 160th Independence anniversary. A 132 member committee led by Dr Alfred M Merriman plans vaudeville by WPA performers, a Colonial flower show, a museum at Colt Memorial High, Mount Hope Indian relics exhibit, a USS New Orleans harbor visit, baseball, parades, dances, and a grand July Fourth parade with nine divisions. The schedule includes official welcomes, military and civic events, and a pyrotechnic finale on the Common.

Antiques and Horribles Parade Plans Announced
The Antiques and Horribles Parade Committee has finalized plans for the event to start at 7 o’clock near Guneras School.
