Quake Hits Bristol in 1755 Ignored by Local Watch
Bristol residents learned of a 1755 earthquake during a Bristol Historical Society exhibit at St Michael's Parish house. A 16 pound cannonball from a 1775 bombardment was found near Mt Hope Bridge and is now owned by Mrs. Sarah C. Munro.
