Guiteras School Site Decision Delayed By Cost Concerns

The School Committee met to discuss the Guiteras School project but took no action on the site. A new estimate put the high school cost at 290 000, more than the current fund of 342 000. The panel planned to hire John B Carpenton to appraise land on the SeMith street site and reconvene on July 9. The lease renewal for two O Wolf Inn rooms was approved for one dollar yearly and a letter of thanks was sent to the National India Rubber Company for the favorable rate.
