Kearney Post No. 6 American Legion earned the Arthur W. Henius award for Bristol area community service at the 34th annual state convention in Providence. Alternate delegates from Kearney and its auxiliary attended. the Kingsmen Bugle and Drum Corps led the Fifth Division in the parade. The Bristol post will hold the award for one year and a new post will receive it at the next convention.

Parella is a Colt High School graduate now on the faculty of Queen of Apostles Seminary Derby NY and a member of the Society of St Paul.
