Graduation exercises at Colt Memorial High School feature a class of 34. Judge Capotesta will give the address, diplomas are presented by Benjamin MacDougall, with music by the school orchestra directed by Miss Sullyvan. The program includes prayers, songs, essays, and the Walsh Memorial Medal presentation, followed by class gifts and a class banquet at the Hotel Belvedere.
The School Committee presents diplomas to 45 graduates. Providence official William Hlobolds delivers the address. Student leaders include Charles Pendleton and Manuel Hellelhe, with a long list of class officers and activities noted, including recitations and a vocal solo.
Twenty two pupils and an equal number of girls graduated Sunday morning at St Marys Sunday School after a check mass and actor consecration. Pastor Res Thomas Jo Gadlarathe awarded diplomas to named students including John Barrows Nathan McCarts Vera Chartes and Alice Rem with an address by the teacher.
Jo Wes, a Roxbury Latin School graduate from the class of 1913, was awarded the Eugene Galligan Prize for the best essay on World War gas usage. The prize honors Eugene Galligan who died in the war. Colt plans to enter Amherst College in the fall.
