Navy to Bring Sky Divers for Bristol 4th Fest

Three Navy sky divers led by General J Velleca are slated to land at Bristol High School football field at 1 30 pm on July 3. Officials expect arrival around Friday June 27 with a reception at the Yacht Club from 4 to 6. The ship names for Bristol’s holidays were not released. An eight day program is planned if arrivals occur as scheduled.

School space strains prompt calls for new facilities

UMWA Seeks To Represent Bristol School Custodians

Supt Edward J Fitzgerald said the Bristol school system received a Labor Department notice to appear on June 25 at 19 am for a petition from the United Mine Workers of America to be the sole bargaining agent for all 21 custodians in the Bristol system. He called it the first he had heard of the move.
