The funeral for John Bent was held Saturday at 11 AM from George M. Wilbur undertakers on Hope Street. Rev. John McVay of State Street Methodist Episcopal Church officiated. Bearers were John Manning Mark Bradie Carrington Munro and John Read. Floral tributes noted. The body was transported to Charles Town R L for interment.

Last evening Grand Army Hall was filled for Miss Mabel Salisbury and pupils annual piano recital. Violinist Henri J. Faucher of Providence and Miss Katherine Salisbury assisted.
