Mrs Tappero Named President Of Local Women’s Club
Mrs. Charles Tappero was elected president of the Bristol Highlands Women's Club at the annual meeting held at the Bristol Highlands Community House. The slate included vice president Mrs Chester W Williams and secretary Miss Louise Brechin. Funds raised from a May fashion show will support a new scholarship and educational fund. The club also approved donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Fund and the YMCA Day Camp. The YMCA camp opens July 14 at Hog Island for ages six to fourteen with swimming, boating, hikes, and field trips under Massa assisted by a trained staff.

A $600 gift from The Reader's Digest was received for the Rogers Free Library Building Fund. Commission Sets Up Board Of Review Election Same As School Committee
The charter commission approved a board of review election modeled on school committee rules. The five member body with a rotating four year term plus an alternate will hear appeals on zoning personnel and tax assessment. Voters may pick opposite candidates on the ballot, as with the school committee.

Four Red Cross Workers Honored At Y Last Night
Four prominent Red Cross workers were honored with awards at the YMCA library. The retirees include Mrs. Benjamin R. Ebersman and Miss Ruth Graham who received a 35 year pin, plus Mrs. J.
