Rhode Island’s U S Savings Bonds Division launches its first drive since Victory Loan, running June 6 to July 4. Director Donald S Jones says the goal is to curb inflation by promoting thrift and widespread ownership of government securities, with no sales quota but a target to boost payroll savings participation by 10 percent. Support from newspapers radio banks retailers schools and clubs backing the campaign.
