Bristol School Board Clears Way for Rhode Island State College Courses
The Bristol School Committee approved using the senior high school buildings for Rhode Island State College freshman courses. Dean Asa Knowles reported 58 students have shown interest from Bristol, Fall River, and New Bedford. Local solicitor Lucien Capone confirmed legal authority, costs were estimated at 2685 dollars, and a contract with the college will be finalized pending president and trustees approval while finances are kept separate from the school budget.
