The Republican National Convention in Cleveland adjourned after nominating Calvin Coolidge for president on the first ballot with 1065 of 1109 votes and General Charles G. Dawes of Chicago for vice president on the third ballot after Frank Lowden declined. The vote for president was Coolidge 1065 LaFollette 34 Johnson 10. Dawes won the vice presidential nomination after Lowden’s withdrawal.

Thrift Circle reports and a year end report were read and filed. The circle donated 380 garments and 11 pairs stockings plus eight shoes to Red Cross and Bristol District Nursing. A cake sale was held and tea served by hospitality chairmen. Regular meetings pause until September.
