Display of National Colors Urged by Celebration Group

Bristol plans a double display of patriotism for the Fourth of July as residents are urged to show national colors from home amid reports of European conflict. The Old Guard Military Alliance of Rhode Island will send a detail to march with the chief marshal. Penny slips totals rise toward a goal with local stores selling them. Church bells and factory whistles will accompany events. Trophies for winners in the bugle and drum corps contest are donated by local businesses and officials.

Amicae Guild Names Mrs Dixon New President

Mrs Janet Dixon was elected president of the Amicae Guild of the First Baptist Church at the annual meeting last night at the Herreshoff Farm. She succeeds Miss Dorothy Mott. Other officers chosen included Miss Olive Luther as vice president and Miss Doris McPherson as secretary.

St Mary's Players Stage Old Fashioned Melodrama

Firemen Honor Deceased Members

The Ever Ready Engine and Hose Company paid tribute to deceased members on Firemen's Memorial Day last Sunday. A procession led by the Bristol Boy Scout Bugle and Drum Corps proceeded to St Mary's Cemetery to honor Peter Reilly and later to Lincoln Cemetery in Providence to pay tribute to Fred Suzman.

St Elizabeths Carnival Planned by Parishioners
