Annual Boy Scout Powwow at Mount Hope this weekend
A U S S destroyer will anchor off Mount Hope as 3 500 Boy Scouts from Rhode Island and Massachusetts attend the third annual Powwow hosted by the Haffenreffer family Friday through Sunday. The Bristol Indian dance, drum corps concert, and a ceremonial pageant mark the three day event with tours of King Philip sites and the Haffenreffer Museum.

Man Injured In Collision In Fall River
Antone Mattos 21 suffered concussion left hand fractures and multiple wounds after a truck turning from Wood Street into Bradford collided with his motorcycle. Dr Samuel D Clark treated him at the scene and he was rushed to Truesdale Hospital as his condition was listed not so good. Driver Nicholas Paradiso 22 of Swansea remained at the scene.

At the Bristol Women's Club final meeting in Rockwell Hall YMCA 140 members were announced. A May 22 raffle netted 246.65 funding a hospital bed for the Bristol District Nursing Association with the rest for charitable purposes.
