School Attendance Case Sent Two Weeks For Cabral Family
In District Court Judge William T. O'Donnell gave Joseph Cabral a two week continuance and ordered his 12 year old son to attend school or face consequences. Attendance officer James F. Meiggs cited 52 missed days and repeated refusals by Cabral's family to cooperate. Cabral claimed low wages and asthma in his children while charity helped, but the judge warned of a wake up call and potential charges for other absences. Also continued were a drunken driving case against Manuel Freitas and a disorderly charge against Joseph Vento.
