Former Gov Robert Quinn to Light Fourth of July Exercises
Former Rhode Island Governor and first Chief Judge Robert E. Quinn will deliver the principal address at the Fourth of July patriotic exercises at Colt Memorial High School at 9 15 a.m. He is a West Warwick native with a long career in state government and the judiciary, including service as senator lieutenant governor and governor, and as Associated Justice of the Rhode Island Superior Court.

Navy veteran confesses to Bristol Garage thefts
A man recently discharged from the Navy confessed to stealing between 17 and 1800 dollars from the Bristol Garage on May 3. Police Chief Anthony Ferrara announced the arrest and arraignment on 13 counts for similar Newport thefts. Taken by Rhode Island State Police while about to complete a Newport break in, Robert A. Walters of Wynne, Arkansas, is held at Portsmouth barracks.

Firemen's Memorial Sunday Parade in Bristol
