Graduation notices for Colt Memorial High School 1916
Class Day exercises of the Class of 1916 at Colt Memorial High School are set for Wednesday June 28 in the school auditorium. Commencement is planned for Thursday June 29 with 19 graduates. The Bristol Grammar Schools hold ceremonies Tuesday June 27, about 59 graduates including 27 from Colt Memorial Class A and 32 from Eighth Grade Byfield School.

Lord Kitchener Believed Drowned in Channel
News reached today that Lord Kitchener and his staff were lost when the cruiser Hampshire was blown up and sunk in the English Channel. It is uncertain if a torpedo or a mine caused the disaster. Many lives were lost aboard the Hampshire, an armored cruiser of 10,850 tons with a crew of 600 to 700.

Fire damages shed and a two story house in Wood Street
A fire shortly after 10 this morning destroyed a large shed used for storage behind John P Head's drug store on Wood Street. It damaged the north side of the adjacent two story Hamill estate dwelling. Firemen from the Hammill block and National India Rubber Company helped to prevent broader damage. Cause unknown. a trees spraying man first on the scene assisted as his chemical tank held out. Fire alarm came from Head's drug store on Congregational Street.

Extra Summer Train Service Starts Next Sunday
