Admiral Standley confirms the U S S McCormick will be the only destroyer in Bristol Harbor for Independence Day arriving June 24 and staying through the holiday. The Twilight League will stage a July 4 ball game and a parade and musical program are planned with Miss Jean Tobin to sing and local bands to perform.
