World Affairs Council Hosts Rare Middle East Forum in Bristol
The Bristol Branch of the World Affairs Council of R I presents a Thursday 8 15 pm program at St Michael s Parish House with Sir Olaf Caroe and K F Khalil discussing the Middle East and US interests. Admission is free with a post lecture reception. Sir Olaf, former governor of the area that became Pakistan, and Khalil, Pakistan embassy official in Washington, offer contrasting British and Pakistani perspectives. Pakistan’s population of 80 million is among the world s largest, comparable to Texas and Ohio in area.

Brown University Graduation Honors Two Bristol Men
More than 600 seniors received degrees at Brown University during a six day Commencement. Powel of 249 Hope Street earned a Bachelor of Arts, and Topazio of 141 Bradford Street earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
