The sixth meeting of the Veterans' Council sub committee on the War Memorial at Wood Street Park discussed renewed fundraising for loam sub soil and transport. Albert P Russo said progress lagged. about 1000 yards are needed though Castle Construction Company already donated 300 yards. Two town trucks are available, and $18 000 remains at risk if spent on fill.
