Bristol Yacht Club to Race for Fletcher Silver Cup
Next Saturday August 8 the Bristol Yacht Club Regatta Committee fixed dates for two yacht races. The event awards a Fletcher silver cup donated by ex Commodore Joseph E Fletcher to the boat with the most points under the Narragansett Bay Yacht Racing Association table. Prizes also go to second, third and fourth place finishers.

New Secretary for Y M C A Named
The Y M C A Board invited Robert KE Lewis of Greensboro NC to be secretary, replacing H S Smith whose term ends September 1. Lewis will assume duties September 1 after accepting the post and has previously served as assistant secretary to the Young Men's Institute in New York City. The institute is noted as progressive and practical, and Lewis is expected to begin a new era of usefulness for the local association.
