Bristol Drum Corps Wins Big at New England Contest
Bristol's Boy Scout Bugle and The Bristol Rangers Drum and Bugle Corps traveled 225 miles to two Massachusetts contests. At Northbridge they won first in playing and drum major, plus second in appearance. At Chicopee they captured first in playing and were crowned Junior out-of-state valve bugle corps champions. Norman Toste earned best drum major, Frank Perry top junior bugler, and Vincent Degeewee Mee Felice took gate honors second.
