The annual Feast Day of the patron saint of Societa Maria Maddalena of Atranese was celebrated by the local Italian community. Sunday featured a 10 o'clock mass at St Marys Church with Rev Thomas J. Gillan, after which the societies paraded to Columbia Hall for refreshments, speeches, and music. Participating groups included Societa Maria Maddalena of Atranese, Societa Elena di Napoli, and Societa Giuseppe Garibaldi.
