Veterans have ten days to reinstate lapsed National Service Life Insurance policies on a health basis. Joseph Carnesale of the Providence VA announced eligible veterans may reinstate before August 1 with two monthly premiums and a health statement, often without a physical. After July 31 only those with lapsed less than three months qualify for easy reinstatement. longer lapses require a medical exam. NSLI forms are at VA offices.
