Veteran Builds Awarded Farm Through GI Bill Training
WW II veteran Neal Barton of Russellville Arkansas transformed an 80 acre brush lot into a modern 180 acre farm valued at 15000 dollars. Through GI Bill farm training he expanded to 56 cattle, added power equipment, a milking facility and improved housing. He leads rural groups and promotes scientific farming.

At Bristol Council No. 379 Knights of Columbus meeting the possibility of entering an episode in the Bristol 55 pageant for the town 275th anniversary was discussed. Grand Knight James J Connery Jr was authorized to confer with pageant officials and officers at the next meeting. The council voted $5 to the Bristol Police Beneficial Association.
