Fall River Line to be honored with steamboat history compendium
Stephen Daye Press of New York announces a new edition of Roger Williams McAdam’s Salts of the Sound to mark the twentieth anniversary of the Fall River Line’s last sailings and a forthcoming book on the Commonwealth steamer. The works follow the line’s 1937 sit-down strike that suspended service. McAdam, now in Kearney, N J, is a noted authority on the era and a former local official.
