Italian residents announce their annual celebration in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Friday and Saturday. The program features a Dorsa Band parade and concerts, a high mass at the church, processions through town, races, benediction, fireworks, and a midnight concert, with leadership from Pasquale Coppola and others.

Fifth District Court fines Massano for unlicensed driving
John Massano of this town was fined five dollars and costs in the Fifth District Court yesterday morning by Judge Frank H Hammill for operating an automobile without a license. Town Solicitor James F Lavander urged leniency. The case of George Lemieux vs Robert Mosher was discontinued upon payment of costs with defendant's attorney noting Lemieux did not wish to prosecute.
