Democratic nominating fight ends with Davis and Bryan chosen
At the National Democratic Convention in a drawn out battle, John W. Davis of West Virginia was nominated for President on the 103rd ballot and Governor Charles W. Bryan of Nebraska for Vice President after McAdoo and Governor Smith failed to reach two thirds. Davis's selection followed days of deadlock as delegates shifted to a dramatic, sudden swing. Bryan’s nomination completes the ticket associated with William J. Bryan.

Doric Club Dance Draws Big Crowd At Bristol Casino
