Bristol City Council Special Meeting Recaps Various Tabled Issues
The town council denied Angel Zachass a victualing license at Thames and States streets. Repairs were ordered for High street sidewalks and road beds from Valley to Hope streets and near Burnside street. Notices urged Cem Cranston Worsted Mills to address nuisance vomit on harbor. Health officers warned Hart and Brownell to abate nuisances within ten days. A new Bristol baseball team manager was elected with Munro resigning. Independents beat Cranston Worsted Mills 10 to 4. Lone Stars defeated Eagle Band 14 to 8. A banquet honored Little Rhody’s Lipton Cup win hosted by Vice-Commodore Tillinghast with speeches, toast, and a post-dinner dance.
