County Tennis Tournament Draws For Seventh Annual Event
Entries closed at 10 this morning for the county tennis tournament with draws made at the Phoenix office. The schedule covers men and ladies singles and men's doubles on the Excel sior Tennis Club courts at Silver Creek, with play starting Saturday and continuing next week.

Mrs Prudence Sills marked her seventy ninth birthday at her brother Alexander F Marchants residence 725 Hope Street with friends calling in the afternoon and evening. Nathaniel Gladding also observed his seventy ninth birthday at 744 Hope Street with greetings and a gathering of relatives. Gladding a mason by trade served in Civil War Company E 12th Rhode Island Infantry and remains active in G A R affairs. Both were born July 8, 1829 in Edgartown Mass.
