Nearing Agreement On Lease Proposal For Town Land
The town owned land at Hope St and Gooding Ave moves toward a lease to First National Stores. A local group of contractors and professionals has completed preliminary negotiations and plans a 10 acre shopping center with 800 to 900 parking stalls. The lease would extend 60 years with staged rent rising to 9500 yearly and an estimated town tax gain of 35 to 40 thousand dollars annually.
