Sewer Commission Seeks Town Backing for Pipe Repair Bill

Fire damages blacksmith shop near State street wharf
Fire of undetermined origin damaged the interior of Edeas Giguere's blacksmith shop near the State street wharf just after 1 AM. Firefighters from four local companies faced heavy smoke but regained control after using smoke protectors. An unidentified youth in firemen’s clothing was overcome by smoke but revived.
