Repair Work Underway After Sewer Pipe Damage
Diver employed by Bristol sewer commission found an 8 by 10 inch piece broken from the top of a sewer pipe at the foot of Constitution street. Repairs were to be completed this afternoon at low tide. The damaged pipe drew public attention after being broken last week during US Lighthouse Service dock construction. The Haffenreffer beach near Mt Hope Bay will open today with two Public Aid men patrolling the grounds.

Harold I June chief aviation pilot US Navy receives congressional permission to transfer to the Fleet Reserve and leave in September to accompany Admiral Byrd on a planned Antarctic expedition where he will serve as senior pilot. The act dated June 9 1932 provides pay and status rights on transfer.
