Bristol Fourth of July Observance Through the Years
In 1933 and 1982 Bristol celebrated Independence Day with parades and public events. The 1933 program featured Dr. Morrissey as chief marshal and Roy Rawlings as principal speaker, plus a water battle between fire companies. 1982 highlighted wartime displays, a 13-division parade, and a War Price and Rationing Board chairmanship. Births, weddings, and club activities punctuated both periods, while 1947 notes include tax rate changes and civic ceremonies.
