Bristol Water Company Offers Franchise Tax Increase
The Bristol County Water Company proposes raising the franchise tax from one tenth of one percent to three percent of gross earnings. Chairman Thomas Braman sent a letter to council president William Sousa proposing the higher rate, aiming to boost annual town revenue to about 500.
